Our traffic lawyers act for all persons charged with dangerous driving offences in Qld. Not only is dangerous driving a traffic offence, but it also a criminal offence, meaning you may face serious consequences if found guilty.
Under Section 328A of the Criminal Code 1899, dangerous driving is defined as “a person who operates, or in any way interferes with the operation of, a vehicle dangerously in any place commits a misdemeanour”. The penalties vary greatly, depending on what offence you have committed. If the offence causes grievous bodily harm to, or the death of, another person, the charge will be dealt with in the District Court, and may result in a maximum penalty of 14 years imprisonment.
Guest Lawyers offer initial consultations (including in prisons) to assist with all dangerous driving charges. We act for all persons required to appear before the Magistrates and Supreme Court. We also conduct appeals in the Court of Appeal and High Court.
Our team of Brisbane criminal lawyers are licensed to practise across Australia and often travel to other states and territories to do so. Please get in touch with our lawyers either via Guest Lawyers’ email or by calling (07) 3211 3007.
