Our traffic lawyers act for all persons charged with drug driving offences.

Our traffic lawyers act for all persons charged with drug driving offences. In Queensland there is a “zero tolerance” policy for driving under the influence of drugs. The two most common offences related to drug driving are “driving while a relevant drug is present in blood or saliva”, and “driving under the influence of drugs”.

Driving “under the influence of drugs” is a more serious offence that carries heavier penalties including a licence disqualification period of up to 6 months and even a maximum term of imprisonment up to 9 months for a first time offence. If you are a repeat offender, you could face harsher penalties. It may be beneficial to engage with drug driving lawyers to act for you on any related charges.

Guest Lawyers offer free initial consultations (including in prisons) to assist with all drug driving charges. We act for all persons required to appear before the Magistrates and Supreme Court. We also conduct appeals in the Court of Appeal and High Court.

Our team of Brisbane criminal lawyers are licensed to practice across Australia and often travel to other states and territories to do so. Please get in touch with our lawyers either via Guest Lawyers’ email or by calling (07) 3211 3007.
